MuraCon Keynote Speaker Announced!

Described as a “rock star” of the marketing world, Robert Rose, the Chief Strategy Advisor for the Content Marketing Institute and host of the This Old Marketing podcast, among many other ventures, knows how organizations of all stripes can create experiences that go beyond what we typically define as success.

Robert has a wide range of experience, including in the entertainment industry, as the Executive Director of Entertainment and Media at dot-com darling marchFIRST, and as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at CrownPeak Technology. In this last role, Robert helped the computer software firm see nine years of growth through his efforts in relation to strategic communications, website development and marketing, among other efforts.

And on top of it all, he recently co-authored the excellent book “Experiences: The 7th Era of Marketing” with fellow MuraCon speaker, Carla Johnson.

The pressure for digital transformation is in high gear - and our ability to manage content and data is at its core. Our effort to fully re-imagine our business as a digital enterprise that can create remarkable experiences is driving technological change into every corner of our business. Algorithms, data, automation and software are increasingly making decisions about not only how content is managed and displayed but how it’s being created. What technology to implement? Which customizations make sense. From developers to marketers how do we all contribute to the customer’s experience.

The truly digitally transformed organization will employ one key, human-driven component — the wisdom worker. This "manager of meaning” will be what separates and differentiates a true technology and content strategy from algorithmic, data-driven mediocrity. So, who is these wisdom workers, the technologists and content practitioners of the next ten years? And, how do we become someone who can bring meaning to the machine?
